2005 THUNDER VALLEY SPEEDWAY

360 "E" MODIFIED RULES

These rules are consistent with Tri-State, Salina and Outlaw

IMCA MODIFIED RULES APPLY WITH THESE EXCEPTIONS

1. Engine: 360 Max cubic inch with GM block & stock stroke 3.48 crank. Flat top pistons. Ford 361 (351 stock block and stroke). Ford and Mopar must use OEM parts only. No SVO or W2 performance parts allowed.

2. Lift Rule: .480" @ valve with .030 lash. Roller rockers allowed. OK to run shaft rockers.

3. No roller camshafts or lifters. No bleed-down lifters.

4. Alcohol or racing fuel ok. No additives. Max.carb 750 CFM

5. OEM cast iron heads. Vortec heads ok. No proaction vortec heads. 2.02" intake and 1.60" exhaust valves maximum. Angle milling ok. Flat milling ok. SR4266GM8B cylinder heads ok.

6. 23 deg. heads only. No angle plugs allowed. No porting or polishing of heads or intake. No match porting of intake to heads. No aluminum heads.

7. No mismatching of engine parts. GM to GM, Ford to Ford, etc.

8. No aluminum parts except intake manifold, pulleys, valve covers, radiators and water pumps. NOTE: Intake must have flat bottom inside.

9. No belt drive fuel pumps. Mechanical in stock location as factory installed.

10. 8” rear fuel cell panel mandatory.

11. 8" spoiler will be mandatory unless changed for “special events”. Must be mounted with no more than 1” tilt from straight up & down. Must have a minimum of 4 braces to keep it stable, 1 in each end and 2 mounted to center at least 12” apart minimum or width of fuel cell panel. Also must have 1” forward bill making total 9” spoiler. “E” Mods are not allowed to run side panels on engine compartment.

12. Weight with driver after race 2500 pounds minimum.

13. Tires: Hoosier asphalt takeoffs, No recaps. IMCA stamped takeoffs, No recaps. Grooving allowed.

14. Steel wheel only. 10" maximum. Bead lock on right rear only.

15. Transmission: Transmissions must have all gears 3 or 4 speed working. No aluminum parts allowed on pressure plate or disc. 10” clutch minimum. Reverse must work as well. OEM stock transmission only. Automatic must have a flywheel made of steel and 10” converter that is not reworked or modified in any way. No Bert and Brinn. No mini clutch. No direct drive. Car must have working starter and must be able to start on its battery power. We will warn you and expect it to be fixed ASAP!

16. No aluminum flywheel or aluminum clutch parts allowed.

17. MSD ignition allowed with .00 claim on complete system.

18. No mag type distributors.

19. Mandatory 2006: Drivers floor must be made of 16-gauge steel no aluminum in the floors allowed.

20. Coming 2006: Possibility of Bert & Brinn maybe allowed!

PROTEST AND CLAIM RULE

There is no engine claim rule for this class. There is a 75.00 Protest rule. If caught illegal the driver will be fined points and pay for that night PLUS 25 points off of their total point standings at the track for that class.

Claim rule on Distributor, MSD box and Coil may be claimed by ANY driver in the Feature race off someone's car that you believe to be running TRACTION CONTROL, .00 outright buy. IF you refuse to sell you will be barred from racing at that track for one (1) year from time of claim. All new parts cost approximately 450.00.  No reason not to sell unless you are cheating!
